Ingredients
Steak, cut of your choice.
Avocado oil, for the high heat; 2 tablespoons
Salt and pepper, to taste
A large nob of butter (2-3 tablespoons)
Instructions:
Salt and pepper the steak at lease 2 hours ahead of time, the longer the better. Be generous with the fixings.
At time of cooking, start the fire and preheat the cast iron pan with the oil.
Pan is ready if it sizzles when you splash a tiny amount of water on it.
Lay steak in the pan.
Cook for 5-6 minutes per side until desired doneness. After flipping the steak, place nob of butter in the pan. Once melted, spoon the butter over the steak until your timer runs out. Mind the flame as to not burn yourself.
Remove from heat. Let rest for at least five minutes
Serve and enjoy.
