As you all have indicated time and time again, there is nothing quite like a good A-frame. So an A-frame is exactly what I have for you today.
I chatted with the owners/designers, Joanna and Barbara, of this quaint example of the iconic cabin symbol to understand their journey and process in bringing their dream to life: a modern A-frame that hovers above the ground in Hillsdale, New York.
The two had dreamed of building an A-frame for quite some time and had spent time finding inspiration within their locale of the Hudson Valley of New York as well as abroad. They were specifically drawn to the designs of Heather Scott and her A-Frame in the Cottswalds.
Barbara, who is an architect with Allee Architecture + Design took it upon herself to design the cabin.
